![]() I like the Amcrest cameras, just not these. No web interface, you must use the phone app to access settings. I wanted to like them, I did like the auto track feature, but they returned to the previous position too quickly when motion paused. I see some others have had issues with PTZ with Amcrest cameras, but none of those solutions have worked for me, unless I missed something which is entirely possible.Įdit: I contacted Blue Iris support, I received an email stating that this issue is in the queue to be worked on.Īfter considerable efforts to try to get the PTZ to work, and the fact that the cameras kept constantly loosing signal when motion was detected, despite being connected directly to my network (CAT 6 cables), and firmware updates and factory reset, I have returned these cameras. ![]() I've spent a number of hours working on this, to no avail. I have two other Amcrest cameras, IP3 - 941 and the PTZ works fine on those. The camera is hard wired to the network and I tried swapping out the cable. I also deleted the camera and started over from scratch with all the different combinations of video configurations and PTZ options. I’m able to get the video stream fine, the blue arrows show up on the screen and the border turns blue but the camera doesn't move at all from Blue Iris. PTZ works in the Amcrest smart home app, and also Amcrest Surveillance Pro, and from my Android phone in Tinycam Pro. The enable “PAN/TILT/ZOOM” box is checked, I am running Blue Iris 5 as admin, and the “Require Admin” box is not checked. I also used the "FIND/INSPECT" button in the VIDEO tab, this brings up GENERIC/ONVIF option that gets video stream also but noPTZ operation. So I’m only giving them 3 ⭐️ because the cameras are good, but the service and support system and charge is not good.Does anybody have an Amcrest ASH21 Smart Home camera and have the PTZ working in Blue Iris 5? I recently got two of these cameras and I've tried all the Amcrest, Dahua selections in the PTZ /CONTROL tab together with all the Amcrest, Dahua options in the VIDEO configuration tab, and I am unable to get PTZ working. They should be more prepared to help when people call because they just keep escalating the call but no one knows anything for sure, and I still have the problem unsolved. I decided to pay for 2 cameras and that has only happened to charge me but nothing of help and much less I have not been able to activate the Cloud recording for the cameras. ![]() They do not have a package that includes several cameras for one price, but each camera will pay separately. Apparently the easiest thing is to charge you and nothing else. What I am disappointed in is that in the same application you can add the Cloud Recording but it is fatal and complicated, no matter how many times you go to support, oh you send a ticket to receive help you cannot communicate with anyone. All very easy to activate and mount them. I bought the Hub and it included 2 cameras and apart I bought 2 more. Maybe there is a way to change this but I’ve been unable to find. One other thing that would be nice is when I get an alert it should tell me which camera the alert is coming from instead of always saying from hub. ![]() So you still can’t download while away from your home. ![]() Only issue is you have to be on the same WiFi as the hub to download. Thanks for the update that allows downloading sd card recordings. Seems the only way to do this is by using their cloud service which does have a free option but sounds like they are just trying to force you into a subscription. Also, give me the ability to download a recorded video to my phone or upload to google drive. Who wants to get 500 alerts a day when a car drive down the road. Please add the ability to create motion activation zones. Not a deal breaker cause not real concerned with speaking or hearing so much. Have not powered off by pulling the battery but hope that clears it up. Mic on one camera only works about 1 out of every 5 times I’ve enabled and the speaker on the other has a humming sound. Does have some issues with the mic and speakers. ![]()
